NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Violation Types
The Department of Buildings prints a letter code inside the violation number. These are the codes on the Department's types page, grouped by those letters.
Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 are severity, not extra types. The class is printed on the notice. Class 1 is immediately hazardous, Class 2 is major, and Class 3 is lesser.
S & M Expediting researches the notice, files the certificate of correction, follows the filing, and can appear at the hearing. A licensed professional does the corrective work. See our DOB violation removal service, or call 718-833-2333.
